This interior wall detail shows a corner guard terminating at the ceiling against a scheduled partition. The assembly includes an added layer of one-half-inch gypsum board extending up to the ceiling over the wall framing. A one-quarter-inch medium-density fiberboard backing supports the corner guard, with the exposed portion painted black. The corner guard itself is specified under section 05 57 00.
