A sixteen gauge slotted top track receives metal studs with a half-inch minimum clearance gap for structural deflection. Number six screws with stand-off washers are positioned at the center of the vertical slots typically on each stud on both sides. A mezzanine joist occurs at the overhead structure where indicated. Additional metal studs per detail ten are secured with two number eight screws at sixteen inches on center. Gypsum board finishes the assembly.
