Embedded anchor bolts and headed bolts set in concrete foundations feature double nuts where specified, with bolt projections equal to the thickness of bolted material plus dry pack plus one inch unless noted otherwise. Anchor bolts incorporate a standard hook with a three-inch dimension, while headed bolts use an American standard heavy hex nut or standard bolt heavy hex head with bolt threads staked at two locations below the nut. A general note permits headed bolts as a substitute for anchor bolts, but prohibits the reverse substitution.
