This two-hour fire-rated partition assembly complies with Underwriters Laboratories design U411 and features non-structural metal framing. An acoustic blanket insulation is installed within the stud cavity where required. Each side of the framing is finished with two layers of 5/8-inch Type X gypsum board. A one-quarter-inch minimum joint sealant bead is applied at the base of the gypsum board on each side.
