Multiple steel conduits penetrate a partition assembly with a maximum opening size of 12 inches by 30 inches. The annular space ranges from 0 inches minimum to 3-3/8 inches maximum between pipes, and 0 inches minimum to 3 inches maximum between pipes and the periphery of the opening. The penetration is sealed with a two-and-one-half-inch thick minimum mineral wool insulation forming material firmly packed into the opening. A one-inch thick minimum layer of sealant is applied within the opening, flush with the surface of the wall at both sides. The assembly complies with UL listing W-L-1249.
