A four-inch reinforced concrete sidewalk bears on four inches of porous fill adjacent to site construction by others. A quarter-inch expansion joint with sealant separates the sidewalk from the adjoining concrete curb and gutter. Number three dowels are spaced at two feet eight inches on center typical across the joint. Asphalt paving abuts the concrete curb and gutter assembly. All sidewalks consist of four-inch reinforced, four thousand five hundred PSI air-entrained concrete with a broom finish.
