An aluminum entry door interfaces with an aluminum transom sill and jamb assembly above, featuring glazing where specified. The aluminum threshold measures one-half inch high, is set in mastic with a maximum one-to-two bevel, and a one-quarter inch minimum height, bearing over a one-half inch expansion joint material adjacent to the concrete slab at the interior. An exterior concrete walk slopes at a maximum of two percent, maintaining a ten-inch minimum bottom rail height with a maximum one-half inch slope typical. A weather seal is provided at the head and sill, along with typical stops and weatherstripping. CBC Section 2406 governs minimum frame lap over glass edge, minimum glass edge clearance, and required glass supports.
