A non-rated wall framing assembly intersects a fire-rated wall assembly as scheduled. Continuous gypsum board facing is installed behind the intersecting wall framing to maintain the rated partition integrity. Both wall assemblies feature stud framing with batt insulation and multiple layers of gypsum board facing on each side.
