The bottom chord of the joist connects using two three-quarter inch diameter A-307 bolts in two-inch slotted holes parallel to the girder, with a three-quarter inch by six-inch by zero-foot-six-inch plate left unwelded to the chords. An expanded detail view shows a seven-inch by seven-eighths-inch by two-foot-three-inch knife plate fastened with two three-quarter-inch diameter A-307 bolts per roof manufacturer requirements. The joist manufacturer shall coordinate joist bearing seat slope with the roof slope.
