The head assembly of a motorized roll down shutter system mounts against a framed wall support. A support header provides anchorage for the roll down shutter coil and houses the shutter motor with internal gear mechanisms. A motor access panel allows maintenance access to the operator mechanism. The vertical shutter track guides the curtain assembly down to the bottom bar.
