A heavy duty concrete pavement edge section is set flush with finished grade. The twelve inch thick heavy duty concrete slab is reinforced and bears on a six inch processed aggregate base over a prepared subgrade. The slab features a thickened concrete toe extending downward six inches at the perimeter, with six inch dimension increments defining the stepped profile. Detectable warning pavers are indicated where required by plans.
