An HSS5x5 hollow structural section member with two three-eighths-inch stiffener plates on each side connects to a W24 beam, braced by an L3x3x3/8 angle strut on each side. A W18 beam frames into the main beam assembly with a four-and-a-half-inch offset. Fillet welds of one-quarter-inch size are specified at the connections. Dimensions indicate a two-foot maximum spacing and a one-inch clearance.
