Precast concrete stair treads and risers bear upon steel angles welded to supporting structural steel stringers. A steel guardrail with vertical pickets and a handrail mounts to the concrete landing and stair framing, maintaining a handrail height of two feet ten inches above the nosing and a total guardrail height of three feet six inches. The stair assembly connects to a concrete landing slab framed over a structural steel beam.
