A four-inch vent pipe penetrates a plywood deck supporting a built-up roofing assembly. A lead sleeve with a flanged base is set in flashing pitch and roofing cement, with the flange embedded between two plies and a cap sheet in asphalt. A sheet metal collar is positioned over the roofing hot mop. All exposed roof cement applications receive a protective white-acrylic coating, extending four inches horizontally and six inches vertically from the pipe base.
