A scheduled partition framed with cold-formed metal studs abuts existing construction to achieve a flush alignment. Metal corner beads finish the exterior gypsum board corners, while reinforcing tape and joint compound bridge the transition to the existing substrate. Existing corner molding is removed prior to new construction to enable a smooth, continuous taped finish.
