A continuous twenty-gauge minimum three-inch deep leg deflection track connects to a continuous twenty-gauge formed z-clip with two-inch legs at sixteen inches on center maximum, which attaches to the supporting steel beam. The gypsum board and studs remain unattached to the deflection track in this designated area to allow vertical movement, utilizing a continuous two-inch wide by twenty-gauge metal strap attached to the gypsum board at eight inches on center maximum. Mineral wool insulation fills the gap between the sprayed fire-resistive material and the top of the wall, supplemented by spray-applied firestop material on each side with a minimum half-inch overlap at the gypsum board and deck. Sprayed fire-resistive material coats the structural steel beam, fills the flutes above the beams, and covers the supporting bent steel plates welded to the beam flange at four feet on center alternating each side.
