A suspended ceiling seismic bracing assembly connects a vertical compression post to intersecting main and cross tees. The lower end of the tubular compression post is slotted to fit directly over the main tee. Four 12-gauge splay wires brace the assembly in the plane of each runner, secured to the runners within two inches of the intersection. Member dimensions and slenderness ratios follow a compression post schedule with maximum lengths ranging from five feet six inches to seven feet using electrical metallic tubing.
