An aluminum-framed storefront door frame attaches to a wall assembly sized per plan using preservative-treated shims for plumb alignment. The perimeter joint between the frame and the wall is sealed with elastomeric joint sealant backed by a compressible backer rod. Dimension points establish the centerline and face locations for positioning the frame relative to the wall.
