Roof penetrations for guardrail attachments and steel ladder brackets are waterproofed using a twenty-four gauge galvanized thermoplastic coated steel flashing with roofing membrane factory pre-welded to the flashing. All seams and miter joints are soldered. A one-half-inch sealant bead and backer rod seal the connection. A hot-air weld strip is applied at the lap joint.
