A six-inch diameter Schedule 40 steel pipe bollard extends four feet above the finished floor elevation. The bollard is prime painted by the fabricator, filled with concrete prior to installation, and capped with a Schedule 40 pipe cap fully welded to its top. A floor embed anchors the base of the bollard flush with the finished floor. The flooring contractor sets the embed in the concrete floor and tie-wraps its rebar to the reinforcing steel of the floor on all four sides. The bollard is finished in the field with two coats of safety yellow paint after installation.
