An aluminum storefront framing member with one-inch insulated clear glazing sits beneath a cold-formed metal stud head framed with eight-inch metal studs at sixteen inches on center and six-inch batt insulation. A metal plate and hollow structural section kicker tie the header into the cold-formed framing assembly. The exterior features glass-mat gypsum sheathing board, weather barriers, extruded polystyrene foam-plastic board, cement plaster, and a one-eighth-inch painted aluminum sheet flashing. A one-eighth-inch thick perforated aluminum panel with fifty percent open area finishes the exterior facade above the storefront head.
