A three and a half by three and a half by one-quarter inch structural steel tube post is secured with a nine by six and a half by one-half inch offset bearing plate and two one-half inch diameter epoxy bolts. The post is positioned a minimum of two inches at the front of each kneewall. The tube is attached to studs on each side with number ten screws staggered vertically. The top of the tube is located within fourteen inches of the top of the wall with double stack studs on each side of the post.
