A reinforced membrane sits atop rigid insulation and roof sheathing, which are supported from below by a metal roof joist sized per structural drawings. Fasteners and fastener plates secure the layers through the insulation, installed according to the manufacturer's specifications. A bead of sealant is applied with specified minimum clearances of one and one-half inches and one-half inch, with an approximate five and one-half inch dimension shown.
