A stanchion plate connects to the top flange of Girder 5 with a continuous weld on all sides. The horizontal plate bears over vertical wood framing and plywood components, featuring concealed fasteners and a black mesh sandwiched between vertical wood and horizontal plywood layers. Acoustic insulation fills the cavity behind the exterior layers, while the plywood facing is painted black and left unexposed in the finished work. Dimensions locate the plate and framing elements relative to Level 1 at elevation 60 feet 9 inches.
