An aluminum window system as scheduled connects below a metal panel assembly at the window head. A continuous self-adhesive flexible membrane sheet flashing extends from the exterior wall construction into the window system to provide weatherproofing. Type 4 sealant is applied at the exterior joints to seal the transition between the aluminum frame and the surrounding construction. The window frame incorporates typical glazing with a two-inch dimension indicating glass alignment.
