A galvanized steel davit socket mounting plate and tube penetrate the roof assembly, supported by shims as required over a concrete fill on metal deck. The roof buildup consists of a vapor barrier, two inches of rigid insulation sloped to drain at one-quarter inch per foot, a coverboard, and a single-ply membrane. Single-ply base flashing extends up the galvanized steel tube with a minimum eight-inch vertical rise and a one-inch minimum toe. A continuous bead of sealant and a stainless steel clamping ring secure the flashing to the tube.
