The sign panel measures a minimum of 12 inches wide by 18 inches high and is constructed from a minimum 16 gauge steel with a porcelain enamel white finish. The top "Fire Lane" text requires white reflective lettering on a red background at a minimum of 2 inches high. The middle "No Parking" text requires red lettering on a white reflective background at a minimum of 2 inches high. The lower warning text citing CVC 22500.1 and CVC 22658a requires red lettering on a white reflective background at a minimum of 1 inch high. The panel fastens to the post using two number 10 by 3/4-inch self-tapping vandal-proof screws. The post and footing details are referenced separately on the drawings. The entire sign assembly must be securely mounted facing the path of travel and clearly visible to oncoming traffic entering the designated area.
