The assembly features one-and-a-half-inch outer diameter steel guardrail tubes mounted on one-and-a-half by one-and-a-half-inch by eleven-gauge hollow structural section steel tube posts. A one-and-a-half-inch outer diameter steel handrail is welded to a bent steel bar bracket measuring one-and-a-half by one-quarter inch. An eleven-gauge steel sheet flight closure provides containment along the stair run. The steel handrail is welded directly to the steel tube supports at the upper transition.
