Lateral support wires are located within three inches of each corner of the lay-in light fixture and splayed to fasten to the overhead beam or purlin at a maximum angle of sixty degrees. A minimum of three wire turns is required at each connection point. Fixture support wires are installed at a minimum of two diagonally located corners per fixture, supplied by the ceiling contractor. The fixture housing is attached directly to the ceiling main runner and locking cross tee system using self-tapping metal screws.
