A structural steel stud splice utilizes a twenty-four inch long piece of track centered over the joint. The connection is secured with six number six gauge screws on each flange and on each side of the splice minimum. The assembly joins two aligned steel studs with twelve inches minimum clearance marked on either side of the joint.
