A hollow metal door frame connects beneath a framed wall header assembly with a boxed stud header. The exterior features a metal composite material panel wall assembly backed by rigid insulation and sheathing, finished with a custom metal flashing matching the panel finish and integrated with an air barrier that laps over the flashing. Typical sealant joints seal the transition at the head condition, and gypsum board lines the interior side of the stud wall.
