A five-inch outer diameter standard steel galvanized pipe with a minimum one-quarter-inch wall thickness is filled with concrete and finished with a primed and painted yellow coating. The pipe embeds three feet six inches into a concrete footing sized per structural drawings. The surrounding concrete or asphalt concrete paving occurs at the base, where the concrete slopes one-half inch away from the face of the bollard.
