An aluminum storefront sill frame is seated atop a framed wall assembly comprising metal studs and gypsum wallboard. Joint sealant is applied at the interface between the storefront frame and the gypsum wall assembly. Wood shims are placed beneath the sill frame, and batt insulation fills the wall cavity. The wall framing is finished with gypsum board on each side, sized per plan.
