A precast concrete stair tread with a solid metal riser is supported by a channel stringer. A 1 1/2 inch diameter painted metal handrail is positioned at 2 feet 10 inches above the stair nosing, and a guardrail extends 42 inches minimum above the nosing using 1 1/2 inch diameter metal posts and 3/4 inch diameter metal rails. A 1 inch space is maintained between the wall and stringer at all rated walls per plan specifications. Shop drawings are required for review.
