Continuous extruded aluminum retainers anchor the suspended ceiling assembly on each side of the seismic joint. A continuous extruded flexible primary seal bridges the gap between the retainers. Number 8 by 1/2-inch wafer head tech screws fasten the assembly at 18 inches on center, with the joint width verified with structural drawings.
