The nosing is set into a concrete tread with a one-eighth inch grout joint, featuring a one-half inch radius corner and a three-eighths inch recess. A continuous number four nosing bar extends into the wall beyond, supplemented by number four reinforcing bars spaced at sixteen inches on center. The concrete stair tread has a typical overall thickness of six inches.
