An acoustic ceiling system is suspended using a one-quarter-inch-diameter threaded rod housed inside a one-half-inch-diameter brushed aluminum tube. The threaded rod extends up to secure a Unistrut channel supporting a cold-formed metal transfer joist configured per specification 09 22 16. The ceiling grid and panels interface directly with the suspension hardware at the ceiling plane.
