A steel pipe with a maximum diameter of six inches passes through a partition assembly as specified on plan. Firestopping sealant is applied within the annular space flush with the surface of the wall at a minimum depth of five-eighths of an inch. A minimum one-half-inch sealant bead is applied at the point of contact on both sides of the wall. The annular space between the pipe and the partition opening ranges from zero inches minimum to two and one-fourth inches maximum. This assembly complies with UL listing W-L-1054.
