This hollow metal door head detail features a hollow metal door frame secured to a metal stud partition with a box beam header. Three Z-jamb anchors per jamb secure the frame with a one-quarter-inch shim space, finished with fire caulking and J-mold on both sides. The frame is filled with acoustical insulation where installed in an acoustic partition. A concealed door stop, smoke seal, and frame reinforcement per manufacturer complete the assembly above the door per schedule.
