A jib crane restraint assembly utilizing an HSS5x5x1/4 hollow structural section column. The connection features a knife plate measuring 3/8" x 6" x 6" at the HSS end and a built-up bracket with a WT length of 1'-7", similar to detail 1/3.S-521. A 3/8" clearance is maintained around the jib crane arm, which includes a McMaster-Carr PN: 2195T41 bumper. The assembly is supported at the base by a 1/2" x 6" x 8" base plate with a 10'-6" dimension driven by clearance with the plunger.
