Cold-formed steel sill framing assemblies are detailed for spans ranging from four to fourteen feet using sixteen gauge studs and tracks. For spans between eight and fourteen feet, a sixteen gauge plate is fastened to the studs with number ten sheet metal screws at twelve inches on center at each flange. A sixteen gauge track is secured with number ten sheet metal screws at each stud. Shorter spans between four and eight feet utilize standard sixteen gauge studs and tracks connected with number ten sheet metal screws at twelve inches on center typically.
