A 12-gauge ceiling clip made from a 1-1/2 inch by 1-1/2 inch by 2-inch wide angle is secured to the bottom flange of a structural steel wide flange beam. A power-actuated fastener with a minimum diameter of 0.145 inches fastens the clip to the beam flange per the ceiling notes. A hanger wire extends downward from the clip for suspended ceiling support. The structural steel beam is encased in fireproofing material.
