An operable partition system with sound seals engages the jamb of a scheduled metal stud wall framed with six-inch metal studs spaced at sixteen inches on center maximum. The adjacent wall features two layers of eighteen-gauge metal studs mechanically fastened at the jambs and is finished with five-eighths-inch gypsum board over framing with paint.
