A 1-1/2 inch outer diameter stainless steel grab bar is secured to a metal stud wall assembly with a 13-gauge concealed mounting plate and four set screws per flange. The wall framing incorporates a 6 by 10-gauge steel backer plate welded to the metal studs, extending one additional stud beyond the grab bar at each end for structural load distribution. Tamperproof machine bolts secure the mounting assembly through the gypsum board or ceramic tile finish. Minimum one stud from centerline is provided typically at each end.
