Cold-formed metal stud partition walls intersect with varying stud sizes spaced at six inches or sixteen inches on center. Two layers of five-eighths-inch gypsum board Type X fasten to the metal studs on both sides, with additional layers applied where required. Sound attenuation batts fill the interior cavity of the wall assembly for acoustic control. A three-by-three-inch metal angle provides supplementary support for bypass board conditions as field locations dictate, accommodating potential conduits or obstructions within the framing cavity. One-inch gypsum board liner panels Type X and metal CH studs complete the shaft wall or partition assembly.
