This assembly consists of a vertical gypsum drywall partition wall that transitions into a decorative cove ceiling profile. The cove is formed by a curved millwork element attached to the upper portion of the wall framing. The gypsum board terminates at the top of the cove, creating a recessed detail at the ceiling line. The wall assembly includes standard metal stud framing with gypsum board finish on both sides.
