A formed metal casterhorn guide bracket is fabricated from 7 gauge ASTM A1011 hot-rolled pickled and oiled structural steel grade 36, measuring 3.44 inches high by 1.70 inches wide with 0.25 inch corner radii and a 0.179 inch material thickness. The bracket features two pre-drilled holes measuring 0.360 inch and 0.290 inch in diameter spaced 2.00 inches apart. A companion casterhorn guide rivet is machined from AISI grade 5.8 medium carbon C1022-1038 steel with an overall height of 0.40 inch and a head diameter of 0.50 plus or minus 0.012 inch. Resistance spot welding connects the rivet to the bracket assembly.
