Grind existing pavement from the end of the existing edge to provide a smooth transition from existing to new pavement. Apply tack coat to the existing vertical edge prior to paving. Install reinforcement fiberglass fabric at the cold joint before the final asphalt concrete lift. Sawcut as shown on plans.
