A Portland cement plaster wall assembly incorporates a galvanized control joint. An air and weather barrier is applied behind the metal lath, which is secured to the framing studs with fasteners. Terminated edges of the metal lath are fastened to the studs underneath the control joint. Wire tie fasteners are used as required to hold the control joint in place.
