Cold-formed steel joist framing accommodates openings up to eight feet six inches and twenty feet using 400JS350-97 joists of twelve gauge thickness. Joist flanges are spaced three and one-half inches from the opening edge. Connections utilize welds sized at one-eighth inch spaced at one to twelve inches.
